IRNA - Manager of Azadi Sports Complex, 10
km west of Tehran, was removed Wednesday.
Bahman Vaziri was fired due to his poor management and the problems facing
the turf of the 100,000-seater Azadi Stadium.
Zia Azari, who has already been in charge of Takhti Sports Complex in the
southeast of the capital for four years was appointed as the new manager of
Azadi complex.
Azadi Stadium was closed down for over a year to be renovated but the new
turf has again faced serious problems despite huge money spent during the
closure.
